Welcome To Our FunFly Day..

Today Thorne Model Club celebrated its 25th Anniversary of flying at thorne.

for this  great  occasion we held a funfly day at the field for our members to come and show there skills  in flying. We would like to thank all the people that came and took part even though  the weather was not great  that we had on the day, We still managed to have good day.

We held a competition for our members to have fun and challenge there skills in flying.

We had 3 events which was (climb and guide , on the spot landing, take off loop role and land in the fastest time) out of this we had 10 members that took part all gave it there best, at the end of the competition, we had a tie for 1st place, adrian came 3rd, paul and craig tied for 1st place.

So craig and paul  took the challenge of doing a fly off which was, (take off loop role and land in the fastest time and on the spot landing) all in 1 go to see  who would come 1st. The end result was so close it was unbelievable how close they both were to each other, but craig just pipped paul to the post for the 2nd year in a row,
